Ramadan is a month of fasting and reflection for millions of Muslims around the world. For many, it's also a time to give back to those in need. That's where organizations like ours come in.
As part of our mission to help refugees, we launched the "Feed a Faster" project this Ramadan. We knew that many refugees were also fasting during the holy month, and we wanted to make sure they had the essential items they needed to break their fast each day.
Thanks to the support of generous donors and the hard work of university students, we were able to raise $1300 to buy essential items for homes. The essential items we provided to the refugee families included staples like oil, rice, lentils, and beans, along with other necessary food items. We made sure to provide enough food to sustain the families throughout the month of Ramadan.
With the help of dedicated volunteers, we were able to distribute these essential items to 70 refugee families in need. We were thrilled to see the gratitude and relief on their faces as we handed over bags filled with the essentials they needed to break their fast each day.
But we didn't stop there. We wanted to make sure that families had a wholesome and nutritious iftar meal each night. So, we teamed up with local families and volunteers to prepare food boxes filled with rice, meat, chicken, milk, and other ingredients.
We were able to distribute these food boxes to 60 refugee families, providing them with a delicious and satisfying meal each night. We saw the joy and gratitude in their eyes as they received these boxes, and it made all our efforts worth it.
Overall, the "Feed a Faster" project was a huge success, and we're grateful to everyone who contributed in any way. It's heartwarming to see how much of a difference we can make when we come together to help those in need. We hope to continue to serve our community and make a positive impact in the lives of refugees and others in need.
